With pleasure, we announce the 23/24 cohort of Visiting Research Fellows as Sebastián Eduardo Dávila (Michaelmas 2023), Professor Carol Payne (Michaelmas 2023), Dr Elizabeth Emrich-Rougé (Lent 2024), and Kimberley Foster (Easter 2024).* Following a competitive selection process, the CVC Directors were delighted to appoint four scholars whose work augments research on the visual at the University of Cambridge. During their two week residencies, these fellows will conduct research, contribute to our events programme through the design and delivery of a public-facing event, and teach on our new-for-23/24 Visual Culture Masterclass series for students, designed to supplement and embolden teaching on the visual at Cambridge.

These fellows were sponsored and will be co-hosted by the Department of Art History, the Department of Geography, the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, and the Fitzwilliam Museum. We hope you will join us in welcoming our fellows on their arrival in 23/24. We are happy to facilitate an introduction to these fellows, so do drop the CVC Coordinator (alg82@cam.ac.uk) an email if you would like to open a dialogue. You can learn more about our fellows and their research via their bios on our People pages.
