Description

The 2023 Wilson Lecture will be given by architect, Bob Allies.

Bob is a founding partner at Allies and Morrison, one of the leading architectural practices in the country and the designers of two of Fitzwilliam College’s more recent buildings, the Gatehouse and the Auditorium.

The lecture opens the College’s celebration of the 60th anniversary of the first Lasdun buildings on the Main Site being completed and will coincide with the launch of a new exhibition ‘Building for the Future: 60 Years of Fitzwilliam Architecture’, which is a collaboration between Dr John Cleaver, Eric Martin, and the Allies and Morrison team.

The lecture will take place in the Auditorium, on Tuesday 23rd May at 6pm, after which there will be an opportunity to view the exhibition over a drink.

The Wilson Lecture is an annual event at Fitzwilliam College. It is named in memory of Peter Wilson, former owner and Editor of the Estates Gazette, who was an Honorary Fellow of the College.
